When Kolby discovers that her dead husband Jake knocked up her best friend Candice, she dumps his ashes down the kitchen sink—the night before a road trip to scatter those ashes. The next day, Kolby crams into a car with Jake’s doting mother, jokester dad, detached brother, their sickly Pomeranian, and (surprise!) an overly cheerful stranger who happens to have Jake’s transplanted heart. Kolby clutches the empty urn, while they all hold on to their own secrets. As Kolby searches for replacement ashes, everyone searches for a way to move forward.
